March 4, 2023 - March Introduction Post

Alright! With the new month comes a new theme, my friends, and this new theme and character will be a good one to get back in the groove of things (dunno why I said that, it was the only phrase that came to mind) .

So I had lunch yesterday, as I occasionally do, and because I am a student, I had lunch in the cafeteria with a plethora of acquaintances (and by that I mean four people), all of whom entertained my chaotic ramblings to brainstorm a theme and character for this month. Our rough drafts included wood, chicken, grapefruit, and onion. Not the most promising of options. And then we landed on this, partially because it was a good idea and partially because we were tired of coming up with ideas:

Meet Cait Lilac!

Alrighty, so this is Cait. She’s a ballet dancer, but in the Picrew I used (just realized I never linked, that,
here you go) I couldn’t find a tutu or anything in the shade of purple that I wanted, so bear with me - imagine that her skirt is a bit puffier and more, well, tutu-like. Also it should be a much lighter purple because lilacs aren’t that dark. At least, the ones I’m picturing aren’t.

I used the “doll maker” again because, like I said in my February Intro, “Mainlanders are like dolls/puppets in a way, perfectly controlled by the Goddess, their lives and stories planned out for them.” Something about that idea feels eerie, almost. Unsettling. Her position, arms and legs straight, hair perfectly curled, eyes closed and mouth in a prim smile… She seems to me like a shell of a human being. No movements, no thoughts, just the outer layer and physical presence.

And on that spectacular note, I will leave you with this to play in the back of your mind for the rest of the day.
