December 31, 2022 - December Ending Post, The Notebooks - #3, Secrets Part 1

Hi!

Happy new year's eve, let's get to it.

This post marks the beginning and end of a post series - the end of Myrin’s three notebooks and the beginning of a new monthly series called Secrets. A refresher on the third notebook might be in order for this to make sense.

“The last notebook is the more secret one - it’s a fully-bloomed-roses shade of red with an inky black trim. [...] This notebook is the interesting one, full of sketches of frilly purple lace skirts and deep maroon velvet bodices and bright blue corduroy jumpers.”

Do you notice a problem here? Well, there is one. These clothes aren’t red and black - these are purple and maroon and blue. Ladybugs, if you're not aware, aren't purple or maroon or blue.

This notebook is Myrin's secret - she does design interesting clothes. She just doesn't sell them. She can't.

Everyone has a secret. Everyone is a little bit fake. Everyone hides behind an illusion, just a little. Even where everything is "perfect".

So I ask you again - what's your secret? What makes you perfect in your own little way that you'd never admit? That one part of your personality that, although you wouldn't share it with just anyone, make you you?

Okay, enough with the philosophy. Unfortunately, December is coming to an end, which means that it's time for this monthly round-up.
